Youth
Voices: A Guide for Youth Expression and Action
Youth Voices is a process for promoting
youth expression and community action, through six stages; Engage, Identify,
Plan, Act, Reflect/Research/Reward and Sustain. The Youth Voices Guide outlines
this process, and provides guidelines and activities for applying it within
community health settings.
Youth Action
Guide Community-Based Smoking Prevention
The Youth Action Guide gives examples,
tools and activities for engaging youth in community action, with a focus on
tobacco control. The Guide aims to assist youth in developing, implementing and
evaluating a youth action project focused on a tobacco issue within their
community.
Making
Changes Work in Youth Centres
Youth centres operate under heavy stress
with minimal resources, but with lots of passion. Change, though beneficial, can
seem burdensome as it takes time and energy away from day to day activities.
This booklet was designed to support youth centres in identifying their
strengths and weaknesses, and implementing beneficial organizational change. The
focus of the Guide is on tobacco control, however the process and activities can
be applied to any issue.
